A Request

I'm a little curious as to just how widely read this blog is. Therefore, I ask those of you who read my sporadic updates to post a comment to this post. Essentially, my enthusiasm for posting positively correlates with how popular I believe my writing is, so the more people who comment, the more likely I am to keep updating.

I read. Don't ask me to write.

lol, #6, you make it sound like youre only reading it as a favour, youre doing it begrudgingly, and writing anything is just TOO much to ask. You dont love oliver THAT much.

While I'm not expecting to compete with such prestigious blogs as BoingBoing, which can boast a reader base in the tens of millions, "7" isn’t a number which leaves me with an overwhelming sense of time-well-spent. Plus, Cage wrote two comments, which means that it's really only 6 people. I'll add Matt to the list, since he posted a comment recently, as well as my parents, who claim to read my blog, but that still means that I have to include myself in the figure just to reach double digits.

Additional comments with-held.

What you have to consider is the VALUE of your readership. I bet that the author of "boing boing" couldnt care less about at LEAST 99% of his/her regulars, beyond the narcissistic my-number-is-bigger-than-yours masturbation of it all. I am making several large assumptions here though.

As an aside, the american phrase "i could care less" often confuses me, as it means quite literally the opposite of what it says.

word.

P.S. sorry for commenting so much. i have little else to do with my time until some employer realises the wasted labour-potential of my days.

I've been meaning to get started reading your blog for some time, but kept forgetting. But now I'm starting at the beginning so as to do it justice!

Now that I'm finally reading it, I'm a bit jealous of your writing ability. I've tried the ol' blog thing recently but the only thing mine really excels at is unnecessary verbosity.

Anyway, I'mma keep reading your blog. Saying 'Keep it up dude!' seems a bit superfluous as I can see your archive and know that you did so anyway. So uh, good job.
